• Assistant Editor, ARISE magazine (June 2011-May 2013): I worked as Freelance Sub-Editor, then Senior Sub-Editor/Writer and finally Assistant Editor on ARISE, the award-winning African global style and culture magazine. My role involved sub-editing, commissioning, writing news and features and interviewing everyone from human-rights campaigners in Botswana to celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, US rapper Talib Kweli and Hollywood actor Don Cheadle.
